Alameda Point Initiative Headed for 2010 Vote – Thousands of Voter Signatures Delivered to City Clerk

ALAMEDA, Calif., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ — The citywide voter initiative to redevelop the former Naval Air Station Alameda took an important step forward on Wednesday, Sept. 23 when proponents delivered the necessary voter signatures to the Alameda City Clerk’s office.

Newly Formed Citizen Group Supports Positive Change at Alameda Point

Alamedans for Alameda Point Revitalization Endorses Plan to Cleanup and Reuse Old Base

Alameda, Calif. – Alamedans for Alameda Point Revitalization, an advisory committee formed by concerned citizens, has endorsed the Alameda Point Revitalization Initiative, which will result in the environmental cleanup and reuse of the former Naval Air Station Alameda.

“Alamedans for Alameda Point Revitalization (AAPR) was formed to ensure that the voices of those who want a positive, realistic and financially healthy plan for Alameda Point are heard,” said Doug Siden, AAPR chair and member of the East Bay Regional Parks board.
