San Francisco Chronicle Supports Mixed-use Vision for Alameda Point

The San Francisco Chronicle ran an interesting editorial in today’s paper, “The Navy’s Dollar Deal,” about Alameda Point. Mostly the editorial focuses on the Navy’s asking price for the land — $108 million.

The final sentence is particularly worth noting: “… conversion of Alameda Point into a ’smart growth’ mixed-use development would advance (President Obama’s) agendas for stimulating the economy and reducing greenhouse gases.”
We couldn’t agree more.
